June 2nd 2024: I’m having a surreal moment, preparing to MC a fundraising event for Iyengar Yoga Institute of New York days after hearing about the closure of my alma mater, University of The Arts. The Iyengar Institute is like an Arts institution, it needs help from the community to survive and thrive. Spaces like this are essential for our humanity. 

I will be co-MCing the event with my friend, study partner, and fellow Iyengar teacher; Nick Potenzieri. We will also be doing the opening demonstration at 2pm. It’s a total blast in person (227 West 13th Street) but you can also watch online through facebook: https://www.facebook.com/iyengarnyc This is a free event open to the community so I really hope to see you there. There is also a class taught by the Association Teachers at 12:15pm
