Join me for livestream Iyengar Yoga classes via Zoom in a safe, supportive, and friendly online environment. These classes will help students establish strength, stamina, and concentration as well as general mobility and flexibility. Students will learn through an intelligent sequencing of poses, precise instruction, clear demonstration, the innovative use of props, and verbal feedback. There is a foundational emphasis on standing poses to develop the confidence, skills, and ability to progress into the full scope a yoga practice. Class size is limited so that you receive the feedback and support to keep your yoga practice steady and strong.

Iyengar Yoga is a system of Yoga based on the teachings of B.K.S. Iyengar; rooted in the traditional wisdom and philosophy of Patanjali’s Yoga Sutras. This method places emphasis on precision; precise action, right effort, timing, and sequencing in order to align the body, mind, breath, and spirit of the practitioner. Teachers of Iyengar Yoga use methods of clear communication; such as language and demonstration in order to impart these elements onto the student. In introductory classes there is an emphasis on standing poses from which the principles of all the other asanas emerge. Inversions such as Sālamba Śīrsāsana (shoulderstand) and Sālamba Sarvāngāsana (headstand) are a vital part of Iyengar Yoga. Certified Iyengar Yoga Teachers are trained to modify the yoga postures for individual student needs helping students of all ages and conditions through a rewarding yoga experience.

- Metal folding chair. This one is specifically designed for yoga practice
