Yogathon 2025 | 20 years of Strength in CommUNITY

Just because I don’t live in NYC doesn’t mean I’ll let another Yogathon go by without my participation – come to the main event on Sunday, June 8th to see a very special video made by the out-of-town teaching faculty: Nil Akin, Lisa Kazmer, Santiago Hernández, Adam Vitolo, Debby Green, and Eve Holbrook

The Yogathon first launched in 2005 when B.K.S. Iyengar came to New York during his Light on Life book tour. He came to the space and gave a talk in which he emphasized the importance of providing yoga in cities like New York, to dissipate the stress and tension of everyday life. Since then, the Yogathon has become a beacon of inspiration and the annual benefit event supporting our mission and programs. On this special day, we come together to celebrate the heart of Iyengar Yoga —  the practice, the lineage, and find strength in community while raising funds for our not-for-profit Iyengar Yoga association! For almost 40 years, IYAGNY has been an oasis of learning the art, science and philosophy of Iyengar Yoga in New York City and through our Association Teachers, throughout the three-state region of our charter.

On Sunday, June 8th, the celebration begins with a relay-style class taught by multiple Association Teachers, from 12:15pm – 1:45pm, followed by refreshments. The main event, will begin at 2pm.

This year, our goal is $100,000. Please consider donating today to help us reach our goal! Donate anytime at IyengarNYC.org
