Explorations of Stability and Mobility: Patanjali’s Yoga Sutras suggest that the yoga postures should have both the qualities of steadiness (sthira) and comfort (sukham). In this class we’ll explore just that. We will begin by establishing extension of the legs and arms in order to access functional freedom and mobility of the spine. From there, we will then translate that extension into the steadiness of well-aligned standing postures and with our new found sensitivity, transition into a steady rhythmic flow that will leave you feeling tuned in and at ease. This is an open-level workshop; perfect for those newer to yoga or seasoned yogis looking to move more slowly and mindfully in their asana practice.
