Yoga for good, rebuilding after Hurricane Maria

img_1074It’s hard to know where to start when we see so much suffering in the world. For this past month Reflections has been contributing to the Red Cross through the Friday evening class at the studio in the hopes of assisting hurricane relief efforts at large. On November 3rd, we will hone in on one specific family in need.

meagan rumberger hurricane mariaMeagan and her fiance relocated to Puerto Rico four years ago and have built a life and home there that was destroyed by Hurricane Maria. They have lost everything and need to completely rebuild. Their organic farm on a 32 acre property has served as an AirBnB rental, a foster home for stray dogs, and a yoga retreat space in the jungle. Meagan and I attended college together at University of the Arts in Philadelphia. She is also a yoga teacher.

Let’s gather together, practice some yoga, and help our friends in their time of need.

  • Friday, November 3rd 5:30-6:30pm
  • Reflections Yoga, 227 East 24th St
  • Give what you can, suggested $25.
